A delightful surprise for Compass Trainees

Compass Trainees were in for a delightful surprise at the Palmwoods Bowls Club earlier this week being provided their very own Palmwoods Bowls Club shirts.

For over five years, our nine Trainees have regularly enjoyed lawn bowls at the club, where staff and volunteers create a fantastic, fun-filled experience every Tuesday. Palmwoods Bowls Club has even purchased specialised bowls, designed by Junior Jack Attack, specifically tailored for individuals with disabilities, allowing everyone to play on the greens.

Recently, the Palmwoods Bowls Club approached Heritage Palmwoods Community Branch, which generously covered the majority of the cost and Palmwoods Bowls Club contributed the remaining funds to make the shirts a reality.

At Tuesday’s event, Glynis proudly presented the new shirts to the Trainees. The celebration, which included a morning tea, was attended by Compass General Manager, Liza, along with Sophia, Heritage Palmwoods Community Branch Manager, and Audrey Lyttle, Director at Heritage Palmwoods Community Branch Ltd.

A big thank you to everyone involved, with special mentions to Doug Wakefield, a representative from Clubs Queensland, and Sylvia, who will be embroidering each trainee’s name on their shirts.

The new shirts, to be worn each Tuesday during our visits to the club from March to September where the Trainees are proud to be members of the Palmwoods Bowls Team
