Start the conversation
Every meaningful change begins with a conversation. What If invites people to share ideas, explore possibilities and discover how inclusion can strengthen our workplaces, businesses, schools and communities.

The What If campaign is Compass’s disability inclusion movement, bringing together storytelling, community participation, media campaigns and business partnerships to help make inclusion part of everyday life.
We’ve moved beyond the “whether and how” of inclusion and into a new phase where individuals, communities and businesses have already embraced a path that has made inclusion a fundamental part of our social fabric.
This isn’t just about a campaign; it’s about creating a truly inclusive Australia, where meaningful contributions from everyone are a fundamental part of society.

Real cultural change happens through the choices we make every day: who we welcome, whose contributions we recognise, the stories we share and the opportunities we create.
Every conversation, workplace, community event and shared experience can help build an Australia where people with disability participate fully, contribute meaningfully and are valued for their individual gifts. When enough of us act with inclusion already in mind, it stops feeling like an initiative and simply becomes the way we live, work and connect.
Every meaningful change begins with a conversation. What If invites people to share ideas, explore possibilities and discover how inclusion can strengthen our workplaces, businesses, schools and communities.
Real stories help people connect with inclusion in a genuine and human way. By sharing experiences of contribution, belonging and growth, we celebrate what becomes possible when people are recognised for their gifts and welcomed to participate.
Inclusion belongs in everyday life. What If helps make it a natural part of how we work, connect and build community, so everyone has the opportunity to contribute, belong and be seen for who they are.

Help make inclusion visible by sharing the moments that show what it looks like in action. It might be time spent with a friend, a community event, an achievement at work, a sporting moment, or one of the small everyday experiences that brings people together.
Post your story, photo or video on social media using #compasswhatif and tag @compassinstituteinc. You can also share a Compass post to help more people see the stories already making a difference.
Every story adds to the movement and helps show what is possible when everyone is recognised, included and valued.

Many organisations believe in disability inclusion. A What If Partnership helps turn that belief into visible, practical action.
Compass works with businesses of every size, from organisations making a straightforward financial contribution through to major partners seeking a tailored inclusion strategy supported by television, radio, print and digital media.
The starting point may be simple, but the opportunity is much bigger: create a workplace and community where people with disability are recognised for their abilities, welcomed into everyday life and given genuine opportunities to participate and contribute.
