We prepare most of our food from scratch, with the care and homemade flavour that make a café worth coming back to. There’s love in the preparation and pride in what reaches your table, whether you’re settling in for lunch or choosing something sweet to go with your coffee.

Good food brings people together. That’s where our story began.

Connections Café opened in 2016 through a partnership between Compass and Cricks Sunshine Coast. It was Compass’s first social enterprise café, created to give people with a disability opportunities to learn and contribute in a real hospitality setting.

Today, Compass Trainees and our café team work alongside one another, bringing their skills, personalities and care to the experience you enjoy. Preparing food, welcoming customers and being part of a team all create opportunities to build confidence and connection.

When you visit, you become part of that everyday exchange: people making something good, and a community coming together to enjoy it.

Our beautiful sensory garden gives you somewhere to slow down, enjoy the greenery and let the conversation wander. Choose a spot outside or settle in indoors for a quiet coffee, a family visit or time with a friend you haven’t seen nearly enough.
