We are looking for our next superstar to lead Compass’ growing Employability Skills Program from our beautiful new Nambour Centre.

5 Days per Week – 32.5 hours

About the role

The Employability Skills Program supports Trainees to build confidence, develop practical workplace skills and work towards employment goals that reflect their strengths and interests.

The program is delivered using the Individual Placement and Support model, adapted to meet the needs of people with intellectual disabilities. It focuses on individual goals, work-ready skills, employer connections, work experience and pathways into paid employment.

As Coordinator, you will lead the day-to-day delivery and continued development of the program. You will work closely with Trainees, staff, employers, training providers and community organisations to create practical opportunities that lead to real outcomes.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the delivery and growth of the Employability Skills Program
  • Support Trainees to identify their strengths, interests and employment goals
  • Develop individual learning and employment plans
  • Create opportunities to build confidence and practical workplace skills
  • Connect Trainees with work experience, volunteering and paid employment opportunities
  • Build strong relationships with local employers, training providers and community organisations
  • Support, guide and mentor team members involved in the program
  • Monitor progress and adjust plans as goals or circumstances change
  • Maintain accurate records and complete required administration
  • Help create meaningful and sustainable employment pathways

Position requirements

  • Evidence of Australian working rights
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
  • Experience in the disability sector is highly regarded

We are seeking a Food and Beverage Attendant with barista experience to work on a casual basis in the Maroochydore location on Mondays from 7:00 am to 10:00 am. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to making a difference in the lives of people with disabilities while expanding your skills and growing your career.

In this role you will:

  • Prepare quality coffee, food, and beverages
  • Provide friendly and welcoming customer service
  • Open and close the café
  • Take orders and use the POS system
  • Support trainees with disability to learn hospitality skills in a supportive environment
  • Assist with general café duties and restocking

  • Has previous barista and café experience
  • Is reliable, positive, and able to work independently
  • Brings patience, encouragement, and kindness to their work
  • Enjoys working alongside people of all abilities

Pay rate $38.65 – $48.31 per hour 

This is a hands-on role supporting people with disability in their homes and local community to build confidence, independence, and everyday life skills.

In this role you will:

  • Support daily routines including meals, household tasks
  • Assist with community access such as shopping, appointments, and social activities
  • Encourage independence through guidance and positive support
  • Work towards individual goals and progress
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment
  • Complete progress notes and documentation
  • May include occasional overnight shifts for short-term respite support

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Enjoys building genuine, respectful relationships
  • Is patient, calm, and encouraging
  • Can work independently in home and community settings
  • Is flexible and adaptable to different people and environments
  • Is passionate about supporting others to achieve their goals

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum 12 months experience in disability or community services
  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (or similar)
  • Current First Aid & CPR
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
